The battle report is in my blog (Battle Report 3), but I don't think anyone is going to visit it anyway. My list was very similar to yours with just one or two differences.

Adeptus Mechanicus War Convocation

Cult Mechanicus Battle Congregation Detachment

Tech-Priest Dominus with Autocaduceus of Arkhan Land, conversion field, digital weapons and infoslave skull - 105

Kataphron Destroyers with cognis flamers = 165

Kataphron Destroyers with cognis flamers = 165

Kastelan Robot Maniple of 2 with 1 twin-linked heavy phosphor blaster and 1 carapace-mounted heavy phosphor blaster each and Cybernetica Datasmith with Raiment of the Technomartyrs, conversion field, digital weapons and infoslave skull - 290

Total: 725

Skitarii Battle Maniple

Skitarii Vanguard of 10 with Omnispex, conversion field, arc maul, digital weapons, Pater Radium and 3 plasma calivers - 55+5x9 = 100

6 Skitarii Rangers with Omnispex, conversion field, digital weapons, Skull of Elder Nikola and 2 arc rifles – 65+11 = 76

Sicarian Ruststalkers with conversion field, digital weapons, prehensile dataspike and the Omniscient Mask - 160

Sicarian Infiltrators with infoslave skull, conversion field, digital weapons, flechette blasters, taser goads and the Phase Taser - 185

Ironstrider Ballistarius with twin-linked cognis lascannon - 55

3 Onager Dunecrawlers with Icarus array/neutron laser, Mindscanner Probe, Cognis heavy stubber and Cognis Manipulator - 90x3 = 270

Total: 846

Imperial Knight Oathsworn Detachment

Knight Crusader with rapid-fire battle cannon and Stormspear rocket pod - 425

Total: 1,996

I played a game against a bunch of Space Wolves, and yes, it is balanced. It's not broken, even with all the free upgrades. In fact, the free upgrades were what made it competitive. It was a very close game but I lost by 2 victory points (though if you look at my battle report, my opponent only had 3 marines and 1 flyer left). It has its weaknesses, so if you go for Onager Dunecrawlers with neutron lasers, the list is incredibly weak against air. If you use the Icarus array, you'll lose a good amount of firepower.

And I find that the 4++ invulnerable save for the Onager Dunecrawlers aren't very useful. Most of the time I just use the Shroud and Stealth Canticle to give them a 4+ cover save regardless of how many Dunecrawlers survived.

I'll mix the list around and experiment with a few more games and let you know what happens. I don't know if I'm going to swap out 1 Onager Dunecrawler for more Ironstrider Ballistarius, or change them for Sydonian Dragoons (assault proved to be priceless! My Ruststalkers and Infiltrators kicked ass in assault!), or swap the Kataphron Destroyers for Breachers so that I can fit in a 3rd Kastelan Robot. The Kastelan Robots proved surprisingly resilient and hard to kill, and the number of shots they pumped out were devastating.Tanaka Tomoyuki 田中友幸https://www.blogger.com/profile/17598005783370199103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3130478341278540871.post-41060442122056010572015-07-23T01:31:17.569-06:002015-07-23T01:31:17.569-06:00I see!! this kind of comment is definitely what I ...I see!! this kind of comment is definitely what I seeking for, thank you very much!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04612893448603940060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3130478341278540871.post-23384756209974520442015-07-22T21:59:05.650-06:002015-07-22T21:59:05.650-06:00The special rules for this list are very good. All...The special rules for this list are very good. All units benefit from Canticles of the Omnissiah, which get better the more units you have in the army. They're amazing if you have 8+ units; the Cohort Mechanicus has 14. They even throw in a bonus Canticle that gives all units an Invulnerable save for one turn. Similarly, all units have Doctrina Imperatives and a bonus Doctrina that gives all models +3 to their WS and BS for a turn.

The weakness of this list is its cost. With minimum unit sizes and no upgrades, the Cohort Mechanicus is a full 1870 points. A good portion of the cost comes from being forced to take the mediocre Electro-priests and two maniples of Kastelan Robots. (I like the Kastelans, but I don't think I'd ever take more than one maniple given their cost.) That leaves very little room for upgrades if you're playing a standard 2000 point game. With the kinds of upgrades I was considering for the War Convocation list (minus a few of the less useful ones), the Cohort ends up being over 2300 points. And that doesn't even include a Knight.

Unless you're playing a very large game (I'm thinking 2500 to 3000 points), I don't know if the benefits of the Cohort Mechanicus will compensate for the lack of upgrades. Personally, I prefer the War Convocation for the more flexible Cult Mechanicus portion of the list and the firepower that the Knight gives you.Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05574391478733667927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3130478341278540871.post-74646367530868856642015-07-22T05:49:42.737-06:002015-07-22T05:49:42.737-06:00just checked your impressive army list, its breath...just checked your impressive army list, its breathtaking!
I'm a nid and just want to get into Mechanicus world
May I ask what you think about the Cohort Mechanicus list?
the web bundle.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04612893448603940060noreply@blogger.com
